PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Iron Mountain, a national data and records management company, hired Vision Construction to add Certified Federal Records (CFR) Storage Chambers to a Chicago-based facility. The project included demolishing an existing office space, adding 3hr firewall separation between adjacent storage and operations, constructing a three-story catwalk racking system, and adding a smoke evacuation system. Additional upgrades included in-rack sprinkler fire alarm and lighting systems, a new elevator, inbound and outbound loading dock and staging areas with increased security measures, and a backup generator.
This project was the proud winner of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce 2014 OLE Award for light industrial construction.
